WHERE WE STAND
I created and designed ItalyPoint to reflect my beliefs. I wish I had the devotion of Don Quixote or Martin Luther King, but I don’t have a fraction of the strength of the fictional nor the real character.
I have always known but just recently started to believe that walls are built one brick at a time and starting from the bottom. Please though, understand that this is just a metaphor to express my concept. I do not believe in walls and think there are already too many in place. I will then rephrase it saying that walls are pulled down one brick at a time starting from the top.
I believe that history repeats itself and we should look at it to minimize mistakes. I am a full fledge Italian and I took a good look at my long history to come up with my action plan. Our food culture considered among the best and healthiest in the world lays its foundations on simplicity. Authentic Italian cuisine is seasonal, sustainable, local, poor. So many dishes but all dictated by the local environment. Ironically, in today’s society, controlled by global food companies, ”poor” food has become rare and expensive.
ItalyPoint’s mission is to pull out as many bricks as possible from the wall built to prevent artisans to access the market and supply you with healthy food, grown naturally, locally, sustainably and ethically.
